Sunday Soundwave Special BMX Bike (21" Toptube) (Notepad Yellow)
(Updated: A month after I bought this bike the The new Darkwave Pine Green, omg pine green been around since the 50's what are they marketing to my grandma,my old car from 2002 was pine green, is released same price with 4 pegs and way cooler lol but danscomp comped me $100 for my trouble that bought them a couple stars so my notepad yellow is a little cooler I guess.) I sure can't wait for Pine Green what's next Sunday? Brunch Grey? The Color of this BMX Pushes eyes Away from it. Just the color of this bike takes 45 degrees off every 360. You can just forget that cars are painted invisible and refracting these days with dope 3D paint jobs because they should have said your new bike is vintage seeing the tainted tone is the color of a 1600's rudimentary clay paste. If they wanted old fashioned they should have made it sparkly ruby red like Dorothy's slippers or better yet a new color how about Wicked Witch's Slippers Sparkly Black and Purple off the top of my head vs notepad yellow. Please consider associating BMX wrecking the city with a yellow notepad sitting alone on a table it's two different leagues that never meet and should not accept with your new bike that puts corneas into a coma. They tried to make it look a little less lame by putting an unremovable looks like seeing into the window of a dance club stuffed with party lights coolest ever little sparkly 100% Chromoly sticker semi concealed to protect it in on the lower bar so you can only see it on inspection but all it does is make me wish the whole bike looked like it not what the bike actually looks like. This color is the least impressive matte base tone this side of the rainbow. The coolest looking thing on the bike is the sticker by far. Lifetime biggest example of the color not being as anticipated clearly nobody held a standard post it or yellow notepad in comparison to this yellow but it was branded as notepad yellow should have been more accurately named 70's prison walls yellow, If it were the color of the carbonic it would be so cash. For sure the least cool color I have now it has a clammy look to it and is very unappealing on approach. A month in this bike was not worth it, the yellow is so lame it’s white yellow washed out yellow the essence of not tough, this bike presents you and it as the opposite of tough with this intentionally flaky yellow is what it is and Lame is the color of this bike. Most uncool paint job I ever saw on a BMX. Notepads are ok for writing exciting stories but you don't want your bmx that color trust me it doesn't translate at all to half pipes and tabletops. Came with the wrong handlebar endcaps somehow like wtf? The day after I got the bike back from having it put together I go online to register the lifetime warranty as was stated I need to do by danscomp customer service unfortunately the link they prove to register the lifetime warranty for the frame is not serviceable it’s a bunk link that doesn't work. I opened a ticket a month ago to try to get some handlebar endcaps and to register the lifetime warranty only crickets no response so lame. When you approach a new park with your entire crew you need 100% pure confidence in yourself not light gross bananas. Forget the word Notepad thats a word for sure this is a lame old fashioned antiquated monotone matte yellow pastel BMX heavy on the white. Imagine someone sitting with a notepad then you 4' higher than your comfort zone high above a quarter in front of all your friends. Why in the who would associate a notepad with BMX'ing is beyond me absolutely perplexing marketing. It's the color of a low end little girls tricycle and if thats the look they were going for they should have made it mirror hot fluorescent electric pink or something striking not this sedated belly flop of a color scheme. I just had pay and order handlebar end caps for my new 15hun bmx that didn't even come with pegs, should have gotten something half the price the breaks were so weak stripped thrown away day 1. Hey man what color is your bike? Get this, its washed out yellow like old bed sheets left outside. An Epic bike destroyed by lame art direction. It very much presents as a mary-kay bike for grannies and sending this bike to people this color with no pegs did it no favors. Pegs are a waste of time, who wants to grind anyway. Possibly they had to choose this paint to save money on expensive pigment as a hue mixed with white reduces cost from expensive pigments like the expensive metallic and cool yellows this bike should have been rocking for being set at such an eye watering luxury price point. A luxury price point BMX with the cheapest lamest paint job you ever wish you never saw and its all yours with a lifetime warranty so you can enjoy it forever. FYI if you paint it so long lifetime warranty my new BMX's name is: The Stain. There is a reason this haunted hue isn't in Bowser's castle lemme tell ya.I wanted a Sunday forever so i saved forever for the best one and now I believe Sunday is not as good at manufacturing bicycles as I had hoped. I will never buy another stupid color BMX in my life for example, Pine Green. Someone is being an Ebenezer Scrooge at Sunday Bikes and not giving anyone any sparkles metallics or cool colors and its so lame for willing to kick out for luxury ride half pipe killers like me. Most Expensive BMX and uncool bike i ever bought. I live inside a dirt park with tower strung lighting for night riding but it doesn't matter with this bike it is truthfully simply put dumb in the light.I don't know how this bike does on dirt it looks so flaky i never even ride it the other bikes especially the custom painted ones are world's cooler to look at and ride and talk about. I guess I could ride it alone but who is alone I am always rolling with my crew. Why would I rock this bike anywhere it has similar attributes as sporting a ring of -2 friends. All the lifetime warranty does for the sunday soundwave is make you stuck with the most unadorned, unsightly, unappealing paint job this side of ugly paint job'ville. I would appreciate it if Sunday would repaint my notepad BMX into metallic mirror pink so it looks like a luxury little girls tricycle not a low end one thank you for repainting it for me in advance, Sunday, you are The Best. I am upset, i did not have the money to throw away on a bmx that i wont ride because it looks so cheap and lame. This was my first BMX in 15 years what an awful mistake. I was scammed I was hoodwinked into believing i was buying a high end luxury bmx it shows up with the cheapest lamest ugliest paint job ever. I went to Walmart and looked yesterday their $200 BMX bikes look a million times cooler than this notepad go see for yourself. It doesn't matter if its indestructible if its not ridden because it looks so awful. How could Sunday make a bike that looks like this and consider themselves a leader of anything. If they continue to produce such cheap looking paint jobs as the notepad I suspect they will go out of business. The word Notepad on this bike was used a as gimmick to dress up a cheap very uncool paint job: Be Advised.

Sunday Soundwave Special BMX Bike (21" Toptube) (Notepad Yellow)
Been many years since I've been on a BMX bike, so yes, I'm that older dude getting a bike way nicer than what he needs. BUT...I'm having a blast and much of that goes to the quality of this complete! I really like this bike a lot. The geometry is great. The bike is super light, tight, and clean. It comes with some really nice parts. I will say, I'm not impressed by the Springfield brakes. I replaced those with an alienation setup and I'm much happier. Other than that...she's solid! Thank you Dan's Comp and Sunday for getting me back into it!
