BMX Race Caliper Disc Brakes | Shimano

Caliper brakes can be found on many inexpensive or older BMX bikes and are mounted to a single hole drilled in a cross brace on the frame (above the wheel). Although a caliper brake does not offer the same stopping power as a U-brake or V-brake, it is an inexpensive and effective way to mount brakes of a frame with no U-brake or Canti style brake mounts.
