The Stolen Vortex Redeux Fork Bolt is machined from 6061 aluminum with a deeply recessed Allen wrench broach and new slim shape to better work with stems that have a recessed compression bolt area. Tightens up with a 6mm Allen key.

Wanted a recessed stem cap, this was what I found first, got the gloss black one and I was slightly disappointed with the finish. I’m normally an S&M guy so I’m used to refined products. But none the less it works as it should. As usual super fast shipping from Dans comp!

Love the look but I’ve gone through 2-3 of these because they tend to strip. First 2 had issues with the allen key and 1 of those even stripped out completely. Recently another one had issues with the fork threads and I’m always very careful about avoiding cross-threading. Never have these issues with any other part on my 3 bikes so maybe these bolt caps are just made with a softer aluminum.
