The S&M Angled Cable Stop features a 5 degree tilt to better align the barrel adjusted and cable with the brakes for a smoother pull. Designed for frames with removable brake mounts under the seat stays. Uses a single bolt (included) and single pin to locate it under the top tube.

In theory, this just makes sense. In practice, it makes a noticeable difference in a smoother cable pull. It shouldn’t even be an option to use straight or angled anymore. After using the angled cable stop, this should just be the way everyone makes them

if you get a frame that has S&M 5-degree angled mounts -- you need this. even any frame with a high standover that uses this kind of mount and it will help your brake work better, and be more secure [i made the mistake of putting an old-type stop on a new Tallboy frame and it ripped right out on the first hard squeeze of the brake] .
