HF-3 cranks are Promax’s top-of-the-line aluminum crank offering, designed for stiffness, strength, and weight savings. Hollow-forged from 6061-T6 aluminum, both crank arms are fully hollow to maximize rigidity while keeping the weight low. The arms spin on a beefy 30mm spindle that is permanently fitted into the drive-side arm. For versatility, the HF-3 comes with a 104mm BCD spider made from 6061-T6 aluminum, or you can run it with compatible Promax Direct Mount chainrings (sold separately) to eliminate the spider and save about 68 grams.
The cranks feature direct-mount sprocket compatibility and come with pedal washers (required) for proper installation. They are not compatible with Promax CK-1 spiders. A Promax EX-2 30mm bottom bracket with wave washer is sold separately, and the use of a wave washer is strongly recommended to ensure correct spacing and bearing preload.
Don't forget to add some Grease to the splines of your spindle, spindle bolts, and pedal spindles. This will greatly aid in installation and removal of your crank arms.
