The Merritt Option tire features a dual compound tread pattern specifically engineered for maximum traction at all tire angles. The centerline of the Option tire is smooth for minimal rolling resistance and uses a thicker tread to increase shock absorption during those heavy drops. This tread tapers down near the sides to prevent tire squirm. Another unique feature of the Option tire is the addition of "Slidewall" technology that uses an ultra-hard rubber compound to reduce drag during grinds and helps protect the tire sidewall from damage.
