The Kink Ericsson Stealth Pivotal Seat is a picture of elegance. Kink constructed this seat with a classic 4 panel design that utilizes breathable, perforated vinyl for the top and side panels and a gripped piece of vinyl for the rear. The Ericsson Pivotal Seat does not have an unsightly top access hole for the pivotal bolt, but instead features Stealth Pivotal technology for a bottom access design.

NOTE: The Stealth Pivotal system eliminates the need for an access patch on the top of seat for a super clean look. It tightens from the bottom instead, so it works best when paired with the Kink Stealth Pivotal Seat Post or any other Stealth Pivotal post which has easier access to the bolt. Use of a standard Pivotal seat post requires a longer Allen key or extension to tighten the bolt.

Kink Ericsson Stealth Pivotal Seat (Black)
There is a sad long stupid story associated with this purchase. I am 50 years old and 230 lbs. I work alone in a small warehouse and thought I should have a bike to ride around in a circle. But if I got a 10 speed or mountain bike I would be around the circle too quick and it would not be enough exercise. So I got a BMX for the small wheels. I got a Kink Gap. But I needed to jack up the seat cause my knees don't bend that far. So I got a long seat stem. I was planning on using the original seat which was fine. But I didn't understand the stealth pivotal system from Kink. So when trying to remove the original seat from the original stem, I was actually tightening it. I tightened it so much that I stripped the bolt and also the cheap allen wrench I was using. So the original seat is stuck on the original stem. So I had to get a new seat. I complained to Dan's Comp and they gave me a $20 coupon for my trouble. So the seat was basically free. Thank's Dan's Comp.

Kink Ericsson Stealth Pivotal Seat (Black)
The seat looks great, better in person. It is very comfortable and I really like the stealth pivot. I’m a little disappointed in the stapling under the seat, they missed the fabric in a spot or two so I’m not sure how that will affect the seat long-term. It’s also not very seat-grab friendly as there is some plastic webbing underneath. Last, the yellow Kink tag is ugly in my opinion, and because of how it’s stitched on the seat, might be difficult to remove without damaging the seat.

Overall for the price I’m happy with the purchase, but I might look for a different seat next time I need one.
