The 2021 GT Performer BMX Bike is designed to be an affordable, long lasting bike that can keep up with the best of them. Fully sealed bearings, chromoly cranks and spindle, and integrated headtube create a bike that is both modern and durable without breaking the bank. 2.35" wide tires add even more freestyle points with added traction and a little cushion for hard landings. If you need a bike to shred on, the GT Performer will... well, perform.

I’ll start with a couple of cons; The stem was crooked which caused the forks to be off set. The chain was so tight the cranks weren’t able to rotate smoothly. The handlebar grips were mangled when I took the bike out of the box. Finally I would have preferred knowing the weight of the bike.

Now the positives; Bike paint looks great, not a single scratch. Packaging was well done. After some work the bike rides smoothly, no mechanical noises.

Very solid bike! The bars slipped a couple times so I cleaned the stem where the bars are clamped and even scored that part for some grip. Also made sure I tightened the bolts for equally and haven't had it slip after doing so. It doesn't say on the description but the seat clamp is integrated into the frame. Also, the tires already have a slight wobble in them after a couple 360's which may have involved a case or two, but nothing a spoke wrench can't fix. These types of issues are expected though from a new bike.

The petals are plastic but I'm starting to really like them. They're light, provide great grip, don't hurt too bad if they hit your shin, and cheap to replace if they break or wear. They're also not sealed and don't spin easily which I think is actually a good thing when you wanna throw down a tailwhip, superman, or any other little diddy. Everything else on the bike is sealed.

Not sure what else to say other than this bike makes me not miss the bike I built from he ground up and spent over a grand on. It's better than what I once had as a whole and it's from a brand of bike I've always respected and trusted. You won't be disappointed.
