1. What got you in to BMX? Was there a certain rider, event, video, friend, etc that made you want to try BMX? Tell us a little bit of your story of how you got to this point.

I got into Bmx through it being the closest thing to motocross. As a kid I raced motocross and always wanted to be jumping even when I wasn’t on a dirt bike. So as kids we would build dirt jumps or a kicker out of what ever left over materials we could find in the garage for our bicycles and one thing led to another. At 11 years old I made my first trip to the Dan’s Comp original location in Mt. Vernon and fell in love with the people, the BMX magazines, the videos playing on the TV’s, and everything else BMX. It’s been down hill ever sense with my love for BMX and the community and it continues to grow every day!

What are your proudest accomplishments or best memories made on a bike? This could be tricks learned, contest results, places traveled, etc.

My proudest accomplishments up to this point in my career would definitely start with being added to the Dan’s Comp team. It was a dream of mine since the first time I walked in the doors and saw the love the Dan’s Comp crew has for BMX. Following up making the team would have to be just the places I’ve been able to see and people I’ve got to meet all through wanting to go ride my bike.

3. Why do you love BMX so much?

My love for BMX starts with the community at the top of the list. Without all the cool, generous people, and best times of my life I’ve been able to have through BMX it wouldn’t mean half as much. The other half of my love for BMX comes from being able to push myself to the next step and having that mental battle to accomplish whatever the trick is I have envisioned.

4. Where’s the coolest or most memorable places you’ve ridden?

New York City, New Orleans, and Nashville would have to be my favorite places I’ve rode. Most cherished memory would probably be my first ever time at Woodward East. I have more gaming hours on Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 on the Woodward map more than any other game to this day, so being able to pedal around camp was like taking a kid to the candy store.

5. What trick was the hardest for you to learn? And/or, what’s a trick that you can do but struggle with or simply don’t like?

There are a few for this one. Top of the list would be switch bars on flat or off of things. For some reason there’s just such a mental block and then once I get passed that my hands don’t like to go back to place. So, if you see a clip of me doing one, know that I got worked for it. Other tricks I struggle with and don’t like doing too much would be switch whips and any form of a no handed air on a quarter pipe.

6. Do you have any bucket list spots to ride or tricks to learn?

My bucket list places to ride: California, Arizona, Texas, Barcelona, France, Japan. Next on my trick list is to lock in flips and start adding more tricks to them.
