Planetary freecoasters are finally hitting shelves in good numbers from several different brands. This all-new, highly anticipated design promises to be lighter weight, reliable, and best of all, removes unwanted slack while still allowing sufficient pedal movement when rolling fakie. How could we say no to that? We grabbed a few for ourselves and got to testing.

As you likely know by now, this system was patented by Freenight BMX and is now used in the BSD Revolution, Alienation Venus and Colony Swarm freecoasters. We elected to use Colony Swarm hubs for our testing across 3 different riders with varying styles.
