This is the Park Tool TW-5.2 Clicker Torque Wrench. As various lightweight materials become more common, torque wrench use in the shop is no longer an option—it’s a must have tool for any mechanic. The TW-5.2 is a high quality, ratcheting, click type torque wrench that will accurately measure and apply the proper amount of torque to a component’s threaded fastener. It is designed for lower torque settings that a shop or  consumer would use for proper seat post, seat clamp and handlebar / stem installation. Comes with its own protective case.

Features:
  • Ratcheting 3/8” drive
  • Reads and registers for both Left hand and Right hand threading
  • Dial-adjust system allows desired torque setting to be preset
  • 2-14 Newton Meter range (18-124 Inch Pounds)
  • Adjustable to 0.4 Nm increments
  • Conversion scale on tool body
  • 22.9cm (9”) length
  • Calibrated to be accurate to +/- 4%

NOTE: Torque wrenches are precision instruments and are not intended for use as a general-purpose ratcheting driver. Do not exceed 14Nm when using the TW-5.2

Park Tool TW-5.2 Clicker Torque Wrench 18-124 Inch Pounds (3/8" Drive)
So far I am less than pleased with this tool. Torque wrenches are needed when working on bikes. I’m am not unfamiliar with a torque wrench. Watching many of the park tool YouTube videos you hear an audible click when you’ve reached your limit. Unfortunately I found out the hard way that this tool doesn’t give a clear click sound (like their videos) but only a small movement showing you’ve reached your desired tightness. Unfortunately it resulted in a broken seat post screw a few days before a race to find out that the click was my screw and not the torque wrench. 3 days before a race and I can’t get the needed part to have my seat at the right height, so this will be fun.

Park Tool TW-5.2 Clicker Torque Wrench 18-124 Inch Pounds (3/8" Drive)
Riding carbon fiber bicycles require the use of torque wrenchs. This Park Tool handles the lower torque requirements. It is accurate and easy to use. It is expensive, but it allows you to confidently work on carbon fiber components.
