GT Power Series Chromoly Cranks (Chrome) (175mm)
Hello ,
I appreciate you getting back to me. I could not find ( or get feedback from someone regarding this topic ) So I had to install the cranks with some basic tools and my general know how mechanical stuff.
In a nutshell i used the bolts themselves to "press in" the 48 spline shaft and the crank arm bolts.
I very carefullly used my allen wrench and allen head socket with ratchet to drive in crank arms onto 48 spline shaft. Put grease , work it back and forth , and ease in best as possible.
The concern and challenge here was using the crank bolt and washer as the main driver to press in the crank arm because you can crush the washer, ruin the washer , and possibly strip the crank arm bolt.
The washer is aluminum and driving it into solid chromoly steel you can ruin your washer , which the washer is needed as part of the complete crank arm install.
In total I used the following : Ratchet, 6mm allen socket, 8mm allen socket, regular L shaped 6mm allen wrench, rubber mallet, ball peen steel hammer, tapered punch tool ( used this punch tool to fine tune the 48 spline shaft and the amount of insertion into the crank arm ) .
Sorry for my long winded explanation. hope some of this makes sense.
thanks

Outstanding quality,... excellent fitment on a retro-mod build that i'm doing with a vintage frame.

Wasn’t even sure dans was still around from when I was younger !
Needed some parts for my 93 model GT interceptor and found most of what I wanted these 3 piece cranks will look nice on this bike especially since I couldn’t afford them when I was a kid .

Dans was great, how ever i wish i would have bought a profile crank. This is a made in china crank. Does not come with an install tool. If you have to buy one you are spending the same amount as a profile crank that includes the tool. I bought this to put on my 97 dyno nitro 24 inch cruiser.
