Fiction Loki Pivotal Seat Post (Black) (25.4mm) (300mm)
Full disclosure, I'm dang near 40 years old and could stand to lose a solid 100lbs of weight. If you're looking for the opinion of a legit shredder, it's not me that you're looking for.
I took my son's BMX for a spin and decided I needed one for me too. 20" wheel, not one of the big wheel cruisers. I'll get one of those later. I have no problem standing to pedal, but sometimes the back says "you should sit down now."
Doing so with the stock 6"/150mm seat post just wasn't friendly at all. Can't pedal at all that low, the knees aren't having it. Enter this seatpost. The 12"/300mm post I ordered, installed right at minimum insert, lets me pedal while seated. Not like how it is on my mountain bike, but doable. More ground can be covered now, it's a win. I have the bike at the office for a little lunchtime exercise.
I can see a more serious rider having one of these on a second bike or a second seat ready to go on this post for a "I'm just doing a cooldown" sort of ride. Also, I can see the pivotal concept being relevant on a mountain bike too, just need a shim to accommodate a wider seat tube.
I knocked a star off just because I don't like the billboard like branding on it, the post does everything you can ask it to do.
