Excess XLC Carbon Wheelset is the perfect addition to your high end race machine! The XLC-3 Carbon Wheelset features our exclusive 3K Carbon Fiber rims that feature 2 different rim profiles front and rear, each with a low profile, and a 3K Carbon and hi-gloss finish.
The Pro Lite/Pro 20” and Pro 24" Carbon Wheelset is highlighted with a new rear Cassette Hub. The Excess Cassette hub system features 3 individual pawls with an upgraded 5 fin engagement system, that lock into a 120 ratchet ring inside the rear hub for a superior cassette system and torque grabbing system to ensure all the power gets to the ground with every pedal!
The Pro Lite/Pro 20” and Pro 24" Carbon Wheelset also offers the option for you to convert the rear hub to accept a disc brake, via an optional Disc Center Lock adapter! This gives you the best of both worlds. The Wheels are set up out of the box for V Brakes, but you can upgrade to Disc at anytime without getting a new rear hub!

Excess XLC-3 Carbon Fiber Wheel Set (Black) (24 x 1.75)
I forgot the person who had helped me locate the disk brake adapter kit but he spent a good 20-30 minutes with me on the chat line while we both tried to locate the disk brake adapter kit. I think his name began with an A. I'm very pleased with the wheel set. They roll super smooth and I had no creaking or popping on my first ride. Very well built wheel set and well worth the money. As for the disk brake kit it's a Shimano SM-RTAD05. What's nice about the wheel set is it utilizes the Shimano BB wrench for the cassette cog and to tighten the disk brake adapter kit as well. Very well thought out design and no need for a spanner wrench. Very solid wheel set!!!!
