WTP wanted to make a simple freecoaster with a larger slack setting. They got to work on developing a hub with all the tried and tested clutch internals, but fixed all the issues that most hubs ran into. The WTP Cortex Freecoaster hub has 3 points of friction rather than the standard 2 for maximum reliability and durability. The Cortex Freecoaster also fixed another big problem that caused some freecoasters to become loose over time with unwanted play in the hub. WTP has paired it to their Trippin rim that has 3 oversized 6mm pins at the seam to make it a bombproof rim at a fraction of the cost. This wheel is made to handle just about anything you can throw at it. The WTP Trippin/Cortex Freecoaster wheel is available in both Right Hand Drive and Left Hand Drive options.
