WTP wanted to make a simple freecoaster with a larger slack setting. They got to work on developing a hub with all the tried and tested clutch internals, but fixed all the issues that most freecoaster hubs ran into. The WTP Cortex Freecoaster hub has 3 points of friction rather than the standard 2 for maximum reliability and durability. It also addressed another big problem that caused some freecoasters to become loose over time with unwanted play in the hub. WTP has paired it to their E440 rim to make this a strong but light weight freecoaster wheel that can handle just about anything you can throw at it. The WTP E440/Cortex Freecoaster wheel is available in both Right Hand Drive and Left Hand Drive options.
