The future is here with the BSD Revolution Freecoaster Hub! BSD have utilized a "revolutionary" planetary clutch system that allows this hub to use pawls, much like a cassette, producing almost instant engagement and eliminating pedal gap when pedaling forward. This system also eradicates unwanted engagement during fakies creating a more consistent experience. Essentially, instead of pedaling dictating whether the hub is engaged or disengaged, it is the rolling direction of the wheel that decides this. Rolling forward? Engaged. Rolling backward? Disengaged. Another benefit of this design is that axial forces are greatly reduced which permits the use of standard sized bearings making the weight of this hub more in line with that of a cassette. No longer must we put up with sloppy engagement, heavy hubs, or finnicky designs like most freecoasters provide. Long live the Revolution!
Note: Planetary freecoasters are designed to be run dry. If disassembled do not add any grease or lubricant to the internals of this hub.
